About Android 5.0 Lollipop

Let’s take a quick look on the things to know about Android 5.0 Lollipop:

  • Better overall user experience – be it on the looks, (I personally love the simplicity of Material  design) and also in terms of hardware utilization that gives more satisfying mobile computing experience.
  • Battery – who doesnt wants more usage time for their device? Lollipop is optimized for better battery consumption, also packed with battery saving feature out of the box. Also your Lollipop device is able to give you an approximation of the time you need before it charges to full capacity, pretty useful if you are on-the-go.
  • Quick Settings – lets you manage connectivity easily. Bluetooth, WiFi, cellular data, and all the other tools in an instant after two pulls from the top screen.
  • Customized notification – catch up your notification on a glance on the lock screen and you can also set whom you’ll receive notifications from.
  • Security – your data goes full encryption upon boot, although I am honestly not sure how to elaborate on this but this sounds nifty.
  • Multi-user and guest mode – no need to worry on letting anyone borrow your phone. If you do not want other people to tamper on your personal stuff, this is the answer. Also the new Android Smart Lock lets you unlock your phone easily with a connected bluetooth device without the need of inputting your passcode or pattern, think about how Mi Band works with MIUI devices.
  • OK Google – talk with Google using the voice search for quick answers. You can also assign tasks.
