Motorola is back in the Philippines’ mobile phones scene, and this month, 3 devices will be available on our market including their new flagship model: the new Motorola Moto X, along with the lower tier Moto E and Moto G.

The Motorola Moto X comes with a couple of customization options, from colored, leather, or wood back covers and accent colors. Aside from all these premium features and specs, the Moto X adapts to how you use it with Moto Voice, Moto Assist, Moto Display, and Moto Actions.

New Motorola Moto G

Motorola Moto G

The new Motorola Moto G runs on the latest Android Lollipop 5.1.1 OS out of the box. It sports a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor at 1.4 GHz clock speed paired with Adreno 306 GPU @ 400 MHz. It comes with 8 GB storage + 1 GB RAM or 16 GB storage + 2 GB RAM variants, both with micro SD card slot, supporting up to 32GB in capacity.

The display is a 5-inches 720p HD (1280 x 720, 294 ppi) screen, coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It packs a 2470 mAh battery and also supports 4G LTE networks. It supports a micro SIM, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, but no NFC for this one.

The rear camera is a 13 MP lens with f/2.0 aperture, and dual-LED flash. The front camera is a 5MP at f/2.2, both shooters with a bunch of advanced features. Just like the Moto X, the Moto G also offers hefty customization options.

New Motorola Moto E

Moto EThe second gen Moto E also comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system out of the box. It comes with 2 variants, an LTE and a 3G-only one which differs in such way:

  • 4G LTE: Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 410 processor with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, Adreno 306 with 400 MHz GPU
  • 3G: Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 200 processor with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, Adreno 302 with 400 MHz GPU

It comes with 1GB of RAM, and 8GB internal storage capacity with micro SD card support of up to 32GB in size.

It has 4.5″ qHD (540×960, 245 ppi) IPS display, coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and Anti-smudge coating.

The battery of the Moto E is at 2390 mAh capacity. It has 5 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a VGA front snapper. It supports Micro-SIM. It doesnt have NFC, and is obviously on the budget-tier among the three.

What we are excited among these 3 new Motorola Moto smartphones, is the flagship Moto X. It has promising specifications, with the correct price-point, I honestly would say that it might be able to beat the competition from other high-tier smartphones that are locally available in the PH for my personal choice.
