GLOBE and SMART: List of HSPA+ (4G) Coverage Areas

Hi guys! Are you using a 4G/HSPA+ modem? Or are you planning to buy one? I too am planning to get myself a Huawei E353 modem to experience a faster internet connection than what my usb broadband dongle (which was a Huawei E153-u2) can give.But the problem here now is, the 4G coverage on both TelCo’s aren’t nationwide yet. Only selected areas especially on Metro Manila are capable of receiving HSPA+ signal.

Too bad, my location isnt there at the moment. But I am very optimistic that the 4G coverage will soon be nationwide for our country. So you can at least plan on getting a modem now, before its price gets higher. Generic and unlocked Huawei E353 modems are available and being sold by online sellers for Php2,600 and up. You can also get one from eBay, in case you do not want to get it from Globe or Smart themselves.
