So this is it, I finally got the chance to experience this amazing Lumia phone from Nokia, the Nokia Lumia 800. A lady rep from the launch party event was so kind to let me play with her phone. Plus, she also told me what I needed to know with the Lumia 800.
The lady’s Nokia Lumia 800 is black and has pink tiles. Obviously, the Lumia is Windows and so its UI is metro-style.
Well, what can you expect with the premium Windows OS on mobile, the UI is very clean. The tiles shifts so smooth, over-all the experience is smooth. No lags, fast response, flat.
The people tile where you can access all your contacts, even your facebook and other social network friends are stored inside that. That tile had a changing tile of your friends profile photos.
The Nokia Lumia 800 inherited the sexy built of the Nokia N9. The phone that was handed on me has a casing, thus making it look a bit thicker than its bare form. However, the Lumia 800 still is a phone which is easy to grip and hold.
Okay, let’s head on some of the main features of the Lumia 800. It has Nokia Drive, an app that will surely come in handy of you love to travel. The best part of it is, you can use the maps offline, yes –even without internet access. Just download the map and you’re good to go.
It also amazed me seeing everything on 3D. If you are very new to a certain place, you can easily locate anything you are looking for, from shops to fastfood chains, from terminals to a lot more.
It has also threaded-view of messages, however it is different on the classic iPhone and Android messaging system, as per the messages shows also conversations from facebook, email, and other sites, once your contact has been added comprehensively to your people list.
Here’s the basic of the Nokia Lumia 800 specs:

The Nokia Lumia 800 also has xBox games support. The store where you can download apps and games is currently unavailable for PH support, as what the rep told me. Sooner or later, it will be.
This Nokia Lumia 800 is available only from GLOBE through its postpaid plans. No words yet for the prepaid ones and its price.
The hands-on with the Lumia 800 was really an amazing experience. How I wish I could possibly score one for an in-depth review.
