Gionee is here! In case you havent heard about them yet, this well-established Chinese smartphones manufacturer just had its shelves locally here in Philippines.
Gionee is among one of the brand giants in China. I have already acquainted myself with the brand name since I had decided to further increase my knowledge with these Chinese Android phones by reading Chinese tech sites.
Gionee brand had even participated on the recently concluded Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, will that be enough for you to think they arent just some pushovers?
Here’s a quick run-down on the currently available products they have in our market now. On the image you can find: Gionee Pioneer P1, Gionee CTRL V1, and Gionee CTRL V3 with a quick look at their specs and local SRP.
The specs is without a doubt, good enough for its price. It is on par with the latest Chinese-origin Android smartphones we can get right now. The image have some slight error though, as the CTRL V3 have 4.3-inch screen not at 4.0 inches.
The Gionee CTRL V3 does have some interesting features that makes itself to stand out among the mainstream dual-core Android phones we can see in our market: Gorilla Glass and OGS screen. Gorilla Glass makes itself tough on scratches and the OGS they have been talking about? It just makes a thinner, and better screen in short and less technical explanation.
Another and soon to be added on the list is the upcoming Gionee Gpad G1. It is a dual-core Android phablet that is slated with a 5.0 inches of IPS Display. While checking out international sources, nothing much is fancy with this one except for that 3D Stereo Surround feature. No words for the pricing, but we’ll see.
We have been trying to get in touch with Gionee PH if they can allow us to do in-depth reviews on their Android phones, we’ll keep you guys posted. Gionee have a lot of really interesting phones on their lineup, based on what I had been reading.
I am really excited with the Gionee GN708W and GN818T hitting Philippine market. Why? Its a 4.5-inch and 4.7-inch quad-core JellyBean phones, with 1GB and 2GB of RAM respectively. Not out yet, and there’s still more to come for us.
You can check out these new Gionee products at Memo Xpress on SM North EDSA-Annex, SM Megamall, and SM Mall of Asia. You can also purchase from CMK Cellphones or The Electronics Boutique if you prefer.
